Dino Cuneo is originally a professional percussionist. He has played the drums since he was four years old. By the time he was nine he was already playing professionally with the jazz group The Togethers, now known as Generations Jazz Trio. At ten years old Dino was instructed under the late, great Buddy Rich and Ron Moewes. At the young age of 17, he shared the stage and played with high profile artists such as “Carlos Santana”, “Warrant”, “Great White” and “Twisted Sister”.
As a percussionist, Dino has been recorded on 15 albums, and over 500 songs ranging from Metal, Progressive, Alternative, Jazz, R & B, Rock, Country, Filmscore, and Techno.
Dino has written and published 3 drum instructional books: “Kick it Double Pedal Extreme”(under publication), “Progressive Drum Method Vol.1” and “Progressive Drum Method Vol.2”. In addition to his instructional books he has written, directed and produced an instructional DVD “Shredding The Skins” which is officially endorsed by Lorne Wheaton (Neil Peart’s drum tech and Rush’s stage manager). He is currently working on a new video titled “The Independent Drummer”.
In the spring of 2011, Dino started playing bass guitar for Of David, while still playing drums with his jazz groups, as well as teaching his students.
For Dino, he believes that God has blessed him with his musical talents and given him the ability to play various instruments.
