The story behind "Dear Jacob"
Our managers' son, Cody, went home to be with the Lord in February of 2012.
Cody had a very rare form of dystrophy. His brother Jacob has it as well. Cody was born with what seemed like no problems at all. He was a healthy fun loving little boy. At a very young age he was stricken with the symptoms of his condition. In a flash, Cody became wheelchair bound and 100% dependent on his mother and father. Shortly after, his little brother Jacob came along. Cody got to be a big brother and he shined so bright! Soon however Jacob was stricken with the same condition. Cody fought so hard, for so long; years beyond what the doctors predicted. But God needed him home, and we rejoice because we know he is running all over heaven right now. No more pain, no more struggle; just peace.
God bless you, Cody. You touched so many people while you were here. We will miss you as we carry on your name and your story.
One way we can carry your legacy on is through song.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
1 Chronicles 16: 4-7
4Then David assigned some of the Levites to the Chest of GOD to lead worship-to intercede, give thanks, and praise the GOD of Israel. 5Asaph was in charge; under him were Zechariah, Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, who played the musical instruments. Asaphwas on percussion. 6The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel blew the trumpets before the Chest of the Covenant of God at set times through the day. 7That was the day that David inaugurated regular worship of praise to GOD, led by Asaph and his company.
